Connection problems? Some suggestions

Instructions for Internet Explorer-based FTP transfers

Go to Internet Explorer properties, by either:

right clicking the Internet Explorer icon on your desktop, then selecting 'Properties' from the context menu or Clicking 'Start', 'Settings', Control Panel', then double-clicking 'Internet Options'. Click the 'Advanced' tab.

Below the 'Browsing' subheading (just a few lines down from the top of the menu), please check the 'Enable folder view for FTP sites' selection, click 'Apply', then 'OK'. (Note: Click the thumbnails along the left edge for a visual representation.)

IMPORTANT: Close ANY other open browsers before moving onto the next step

Clicking the following link:  ftp://71.190.205.90/
You will then see a login screen that looks like this:

Type your username and password on the appropriate lines and check the 'Save Password' if you prefer. The next screen should appear like this (or similar):

The "Add New Folders Here" is simply a placemarker so you can put folders below it (by double-clicking it and adding them there) or folders can be placed in the same window. If there's a folder or subfolder called "PRINTED", please do NOT put any new files or folders beneath it. We use this inlab method of determining an order's status.

Files can be added by highlighting them in another Windows Explorer windows and right-clicking, selecting 'Copy' from the context menu or by dragging selected files or folders into the FTP window.

Connection problems? Some suggestions...

Here are some suggestions about how to organize files, filenames and folders that can streamline the process for you and your studio.

Back to your Internet Explorer options under the 'Advanced' tab, uncheck the 'Use Passive FTP (for firewall and DSL modem compatibility)'.

(NOTE: Unchecking this option does not disable any firewall or security methods on your end. )Some users have more reliable transfers when they make all their folders first, then drag whatever files they need to their respective places. Some firewall and antivirus software could prevent FTP transfers. Disabling these features prior to attempting an FTP connection may help, then they could be re-enabled when you've completed your uploads. Please consult your respective firewall or antivirus software package's documentation for instructions how to do this.
